Pakistan won 6 gold medals in the International Taekwondo Championship
Pakistan Hamza Umar Saeed won 6 gold medals in the International Taekwondo Championship held in Nepal. Pakistan Hamza Umar Saeed & Mazhar Abbas won gold medals for Pakistan at 3rd Mount Everest International Open Taekwondo Championship in Pokhara Nepal while Haroon Khan & Arbaaz Khan bagged silver medals.
In final of the 87 kg category Karogi event, Hamza Saeed won the gold medal against India Gaurav Bhatt by 11-2 in the 1st round and 11 points to 4 in the 2nd round.
In the final of the 80 kg category Mazhar Abbas of Pakistan defeated Resheb of India 9-7 in the 1st round but in the 2nd round Resheb came back and won 8-3. In the final round Mazher Abbas played the best & attacking game. 9 points to nil victory by showing.
In the final of 58 kg category Korea Tae Joon Park defeated Pakistan Haroon Khan 9-1 & 11-3 while in the final of the 63 kg category, Shivam Sadesh Shetty of India defeated Pakistan Arbaaz Khan 6-5 & 7- Defeated by 2.
India's Sonam Rawal defeated Pakistan Noor Rehman 3-0 & 4-0 in the women 57 kg category semi final Noor Rehman was awarded the bronze medal.

It should be noted that Pakistani athletes won 3 gold 2 silver & 2 bronze medals in the Karogi event of the Mount Everest Championship while in the Pomsey event they won 3 gold 1 silver & 4 bronze medals. In total Pakistan won 6 gold 3 Won silver & 6 bronze medals.
