Government of Pakistan has made the currency declaration form Pakistan mandatory for travelers coming to Pakistan from abroad & traveling abroad from Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: According to notification issued by the Federal Government  Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan Air passengers coming and going to Pakistan from abroad will-have to fill a customs declaration including currency declaration form.

According to the spokesperson of Civil Aviation Authority the implementation of the instructions issued by the Federal Government of Pakistan to Civil Aviation regarding Authority the implementation of FATF rules has-been started. In which the issuance of boarding passes for passengers going abroad from Pakistan will-be subject to the customs declaration form.

According to the  Federal Civil Aviation Authority it has-been made mandatory for the airlines not to issue boarding pass to any passenger without a currency declaration form & in this regard the staff of Pakistan customs authorities & special counters have-been appointed at airports. will go. The staff of the airlines will also assist the customs authorities & the passengers.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has issued instructions to the agents & staff of the airlines companies that make sure to give the declaration form to the passengers at the time of booking the airline tickets & the boarding pass will-not be issued to the passengers without currency declaration.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority CAA has made it mandatory for passengers coming & going to Pakistan from abroad to fill the customs declaration including currency declaration form. For this purpose, the issuance of boarding passes for passengers going abroad at all airports in the country has-been made subject to the customs declaration form.

Passengers arriving from abroad will now have to fill a customs declaration form at all airports in Pakistan. In the form details of cash foreign currency & jewelery held by the passengers must be entered.

Spokesperson Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has said in a statement that air hosts will urge passengers to submit currency & Pakistan customs declaration forms at the airports during flights coming to Pakistan.

All passengers arriving on international arrival must provide declaration details at the customs counter prior to immigration. For this purpose Pakistan Customs has also been directed to deploy special staff at all international airports of country.

Spokesperson of the  pakistan Civil Aviation Authority further said apart from the Customs officials the station manager of the airlines operating in Pakistan has also-been informed to implement the order regarding the submission of the customs declaration form.

According to experts aim of this process is to remove Pakistan from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force FATF an international organization for  prevention of money laundering which in the last meeting held in June kept Pakistan on its gray list. What was the decision?

Pakistan was made a part of the FATF gray list in 2018 and for the last four years Pakistan remained in the gray list due to insufficient measures. However FATF officials now say that Pakistan has fulfilled all the conditions given by the task force which will-be reviewed in October after which a decision will-be made to remove it from the gray list or keep it further. will be done

Mr Zafar Paracha General Secretary of Pakistan Exchange Companies Association says that laws related to prevention of money laundering already exist but they were not implemented. But now Financial Tasks Force FATF has forced the authorities to implement these rules.

According to him submission of Airport Proxim Declaration will help curb money laundering reduce currency smuggling & help in documenting the economy. Similarly, legal action can be taken against the accused under the Anti Money Laundering & Foreign Exchange Act for submitting false declaration.

Zafar Paracha says that according to law of Pakistan no passenger can carry more than 10 thousand US United State $dollars as cash. However there is no restriction on the amount of foreign exchange brought in from abroad.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson Minister of State expressed satisfaction with the pace of reforms & the collective system wide efforts to bring Pakistan anti money laundering .

Currency declaration Form has also been made mandatory for travelers coming from abroad to implement FATF rules to prevent international money laundering.

According to the notification of Civil Aviation passengers arriving from abroad will also fill the customs declaration form at Pakistani airports.

During the flight coming to Pakistan the air host will announce the currency & customs declaration form to all  passengers.

To implement FATF rules currency declaration has also-been made mandatory for travelers coming from abroad .

According to the spokes person of Civil Aviation declaration details must be provided at customs counter on arrival of international passengers before immigration. In this regard instructions have-been issued to Pakistan Customs to appoint staff at all international airports.

According to the notification all domestic and foreign passengers coming from abroad will be required to make a currency declaration form & flight crew will-be obliged to provide flight to all passengers during the customs declaration form.
