Emaar Property to Develop Largest Shopping Mall in Srinagar: Dubai Real Estate Company to Build Largest Shopping Mall in Kashmir
Dubai based real estate company Emaar Property has said it will set up a 500,000 square foot Largest shopping mall in Srinagar. Once built property will be largest in Jammu and Kashmir & a Memorandum of Understanding MoU was signed between the governments of Dubai & Jammu and Kashmir in this regard.
Dubai based real estate company Property Emaar says it will build a 500 000 square foot shopping mall in Srinagar. Once completed the shopping mall will be the largest shopping mall in the area under the administration of the Center.
A Memorandum of Understanding MoU between the governments of Dubai & Jammu & Kashmir to facilitate investment in the proposed project Dubai based real estate company Emaar Property said in a statement. Signed. This will be 1st FDI investment in the Union Territory the statement said.

Muhammad Al Abbar founder of Emaar Company Property said that the company intends to provide world class shopping mall facilities for tourists including residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
Muhammad Al Abbar added The Emaar Property Group is also considering other investments in mixed use commercial & residential projects including real estate in Srinagar.
It is worth mentioning that Emaar Group is developing real estate projects in India mainly in Delhi NCR and Punjab.

A spokesman for Emaar Properties in Dubai said on Saturday that the company was aware of a media report that the group chief executive Amit Jain had-been detained in India.
Emaar Property Group CEO : According to Reuters spokesman added: In a case involving the company operations in India Emaar is aware of reports regarding the Emaar Property group CEO Amit Jain. This issue has now been resolved and we cannot comment further at this time.
On the other hand according to the Indian news agency ANI Amit Jain was taken into custody after landing at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday & handed over to the local police. The reason for detention is not clear.
Emaar Property which builds the world tallest building Burj Khalifa is Dubai largest developer.
The United Arab Emirates Dubai government owns the company independent assets and a small stake in the fund. The Dubai government media office & UAE foreign ministry did not immediately respond to questions about the Indian news agency ANI report.
