Army has no objection to setting up of Judicial Commission: DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar
DG ISPR : The PTI has demanded the formation of a judicial commission on the issue of alleged external conspiracy. Pakistan Army spokesman DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said the agency had no objection to the demand but the army had made its position clear during a meeting of National Security Committee.
Talking to Hum News anchor Mohammad Malik he said I have not made any political statement. I have-been explained by the service chiefs of Pakistan.
DG ISPR: In a program last week former interior minister Sheikh Rashid had claimed that no service chief had said during the National Security Committee meeting that there was a conspiracy. He wanted to make it clear that he was speaking on behalf of the people.
The head of the army public relations department DG ISPR said I went to the same program and explained it. I am the spokesman for the service chiefs. There is nothing political about it. The service chief and the DG ISI had made it clear that there was no evidence of any conspiracy.

He added that when a high level meeting on national security is convened, the agenda is pre determined. Participants, especially service chiefs and DG ISI intelligence carry information, which is not the case. Someone even said that this is their opinion, this is our opinion.
It was not an opinion it was intelligence based information. According to him, it was mentioned here. The statement did not include the word conspiracy. It cannot be called an opinion. It was a brief and a stand.

DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the Pakistan Army had no objection to the establishment of a Judicial Commission. Whatever the government decides which forum or commission is to investigate the institution will give its full support. It is not up to us to decide how the transfer will be completed
