SialKot Several Workers including PTI leader Usman Dar were arrested
SIALKOT: Punjab Police have arrested several PTI Workers including Usman Dar for cr-acki-ng down on arrangements made in Christian community ground despite PTI not being allowed to hold a rally in SialKot.
Sialkot: On the other hand PTI Usman Dar has said that former Pm Imran Khan will definitely come to Sialkot today. Peaceful assembly is our right. While DPO Sialkot is of the view that this is lace of Christian community. He is not allowing PTI pakistan Tehreek Insaf to hold a meeting at his place. The Christian community says we cannot force any 1 to hold a meeting in front of our church.
Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Mr Imran Qureshi said Christian community had requested that we perform religious rites in our ground. There has never been a political meeting here & we-will not allow it in the future. There 4 district administration has stopped the PTI meeting.
Sialkot: Remember that PTI Christian community had filed a petition in the High Court. On this Supreme Court Pakistan had ordered that PTI be barred from holding a meeting in the ground. On order of the court Deputy Commissioner Sialkot has refused to allow the local leadership of PTI Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to hold the meeting. Violations will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
PTI Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activists were outraged when district administration & police moved in to remove the rally equipment at the Christian community punjab ground. Punjab Police fired tear gas to disperse the workers.

The district administration says that a request should be made to hold a meeting at a place other than CTI ground. Meeting without permission is a threat to law & order. The Christian community is protesting call 4 a rally at the CTI ground. No 1 can be allowed to attend a meeting without the permission & consent of Christian community.
Change place Controversy over venue of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI meeting in Sialkot
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership has changed venue of its meeting in Sialkot today after a day long commotion & denial of permission by district administration & Christian community to hold a rally at CTI Ground.
Addressing a press conference in Sialkot Pakistan Tehreek Insaf PTI leader Shafqat Mehmood said that now the meeting would be held not at CTI ground but at VIP ground which is adjacent to Usman Dar factory.
Meeting will be held at 5 pm while former Pm Imran Khan will arrive at venue at 6 pm & address the workers.
Shafqat Mehmood alleged that Punjab police used violence at behest of PML N leader and Federal Minister Khawaja Asif.
He demanded that Deputy Commissioner should immediately release all arrested workers including Usman Dar or else we would protest.
Shortly after press conference a Sialkot police spokesman explained that all the detained PTI workers, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI leader Usman Dar had been released.
Spokesman said that those who were detained a few hours ago 4 disturbing peace at CTI ground have been released after initial questioning. In this regard PTI leader Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan while talking to media in Sialkot said that 22 workers including Usman Dar have-been released & those who became lions have become wolves.
It may be recalled that earlier district administration &Punjab police had taken action on the dispute over venue of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf PTI meeting in Sialkot and had stopped the arrangements 4 meeting.
The district administration refused to allow the rally to take place at the church owned site & police in action not only demolished the stage but also detained several activists, including PTI leader Usman Dar.
The place where the PTI wanted to hold the rally is owned by a Christian church which also has an adjoining CTI school.
When the PTI announced to hold a rally at this ground on May 14 members of the trust had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court to stop the rally at the Christian Trust premises after which court directed the Deputy Commissioner Sialkot to take up the matter. Ordered to deal.
The Christian community has also staged protests in Sialkot and Lahore against the attempt to hold a rally at the CTI ground.
According to Sialkot District Police Officer Hassan Iqbal during the hearing in the Lahore High Court local PTI leadership had assured that they would not hold a rally at the venue but a meeting was arranged at trust premises.
According to Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Imran Qureshi district administration offered three alternative locations to the PTI leaders including a stadium & grounds of Murray College.
The district administration said that if they apply for a meeting at one of these places it will-be accepted but the local leaders of PTI allegedly didn't agree and insisted that they join the CTI. We will hold a meeting on ground.
