Discussions on social media after first Pakistani film Joyland received awards at Cannes Film Festival
film Joyland :Pakistani film Joyland has made history by winning the award at Cannes world largest film festival. Joyland has received awards in 2 categories, including the Jury Prize in the Undertaker Regard & Cannes Cure Palm Prize.
Remember that the Jury Prize in Undertaker Regard is recognized as second biggest award of this film festival.
Last week when the prestigious Cannes Film Festival kicked off in France a whole team,l including the Indian Minister of Information Broadcasting and Sports left India with Bollywood celebrities.
Film Joyland : He joined India Cannes as a guest of honor and was also represented in the competition but there was no mention of Pakistan in the media.

Towards the end of the festival Pakistan is not only mentioned but also the film Joyland directed by Saeem Sadiq has-been given a jury award.
Pakistani director writer and actor Saeem Sadiq film Joyland is the 1st Pakistani film which was screened at Cannes Festival. The film starred Sarwat Gilani Sania Saeed Ali Junejo Sana Jafri Alina Khan & other actors.
Remember that story of the movie Joyland is based on the life of an eunuch who has-been produced by Sarmad Khost and Oporova Charan. The music of film has been provided by Abdullah Siddiqui.
It is worth mentioning here that Saeem Sadiq short film Darling Venice has been screened at Toronto Film Festival in 2019 before.
For the first time in the 75 year history of Cannes Pakistan got an entry & this entry turned out to be a winner.
