Sandeep Singh Sindhu captain of British Kabaddi team in India was shot dead during the match
Sandeep Singh Sindhu a famous British kabaddi player and captain of an international team in India was shot dead in a tournament.
According to Indian media reports Sandeep Singh Sindhu was shot-dead by 8 to 10 bullets at the end of a match in Millian Khurd village near Jalandhar.
According to reports after being shot he was rushed to the hospital but could not recover.
Police say footage of the incident showed several people firing around the field and people fleeing for their lives.
According to reports police said that the incident was the result of personal enmity or the attack was carried out by a certain group with money.
On the other hand a senior kabaddi organizer close to Sandeep told Indian media that thugs were allegedly involved in the incident who were trying to manipulate the results to decide which players should participate in the tournament.

According to senior superintendent of police in Jalandhar shooters have not been identified yet but an investigation is underway.
It should be noted that Sindhu was a permanent resident of United Kingdom while he belonged to Nangal Ambian village in Shahkot area of Jalandhar.
According to reports 40 year old Sindhu used to come to India often to participate in Kabaddi tournaments.
