PSL Pakistan Super League has just entered its seventh 7 year. When PSL was first held in 2016, very few people believed that it was held regularly every year. PSL has seen many ups and downs during its journey but overcoming all these difficulties, this PSL league has become an important source of entertainment for Pakistani fans.

This time two cities Karachi and Lahore have been selected for PSL matches. Last year also the league matches were held in Karachi and Lahore but after 14 matches were held in Karachi, the situation of code forced the league to postpone and then the remaining matches had to be held in Abu Dhabi.


Pakistan Super League 7 will kick off on January 27 at the National Stadium in Karachi with a match between defending champions Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings.


Karachi will host 15 of the 34 matches played in total, after which the festival will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from February 10. 19 matches will be played in Lahore.


The first playoff will be on February 23, the first eliminator will be played on February 24, and the second element will be played on February 25. The final will be played on February 27.

Multan Sultans are the defending champion team of Pakistan Super League which won the title for the first time by defeating Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs in the final last year. This time too the team will be led by wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan. Besides Rizwan, the management of Multan Sultans has retained Imran Tahir and Riley Russo, Khushdal Shah, Sohaib Maqsood, Shaun Masood and Shahnawaz Dhani of South Africa. This time he has also got Australian batsman Tim David and West Indies' Odin Smith and Roman Powell.

The squad will be led by Shadab Khan and the team looks balanced in the presence of Alex Hales, Asif Ali, Hassan Ali, Muhammad Wasim Jr. and Paul Sterling. Azam Khan has come to Islamabad United from Quetta Gladiators. However, Iftikhar Ahmed has surprisingly left Islamabad United for Quetta Gladiators.

Zalmai's team, led by Wahab Riaz, has the services of Hazratullah Zazai of Afghanistan, who is batting aggressively. Apart from them, veteran Shoaib Malik, young talent Haider Ali, Lime Livingstone of England, West Indian Sharfin Rutherford, Kamran Akmal and Usman Qadir are also in the team. Kamran Akmal had refused to play in the silver category after relegation but later agreed to play.


Online ticket sales begin


Online sale of Pakistan Super League 7 tickets has started. In the first phase, tickets for the matches to be played in Karachi are being sold.

Tickets for General Stand for the inaugural match are priced at Rs. 500, while tickets for the first class enclosure of this match cost Rs. Two and a half thousand rupees have been set aside.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the ticket for general stand for the final match has been kept at Rs. 1500 while the ticket for VIP enclosure will be Rs. 4000.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also offered a discount if the spectators book first class and general enclosure tickets by January 17. However, this discount does not include playoff and final matches.


Code Vaccination Certificate is required to purchase tickets. Anyone can buy a maximum of six tickets on one ID card.


According to the decision of the NCOC, all persons above the age of 12 years will be required to show the code of vaccination to enter the stadium.
