Dutch police say they have found a "stove away" person in safe condition from the wheel of a plane. The plane arrived at Amsterdam's Skipal Airport from South Africa.
The cargo flight left Johannesburg for Amsterdam, and the 11-hour flight stopped short in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The survival of such stealth passengers on such a long flight is unusual because of the extreme cold at high altitudes and the lack of oxygen in the air.
According to police, the age and citizenship of the man have not been determined.
A Dutch police spokesman told AFP the man was hiding in the front wheel of the plane and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The spokesman said that in these circumstances, "survival is very unusual."
According to Dutch broadcaster SOS, the man's body temperature was raised at the airport, and by the time the ambulance arrived, he had regained consciousness enough to answer basic questions.
The carrier Cargolix confirmed in an email to Reuters that the man had been recovered from a flight.
According to flight data, only one Cargolix flight from Nairobi to Skipal arrived in Johannesburg on Sunday. It is unknown at this time what he did to cause the injuries.
