According to local media reports, the incident took place during worship inside the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Saturday evening. A man enters the Golden Temple where the holy book of Sikhs, Guru Granth Sahib, is kept.
The man reportedly tried to touch the formal sword with the book, but was stopped by security guards and others.
The incident took place at 5:45 pm local time. He can be seen in the camera recordings of the evening worship being broadcast on TV.


It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Police say the man was found dead when officers arrived. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
