Addressing the Asma Jahangir Conference in Lahore, Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed said that all the judges are working day and night by spending more time. Courts sometimes make wrong decisions, sometimes right, people take every decision according to their opinion.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed has said that people should not be misunderstood. Pakistan's judiciary does not work under pressure. No person or organization dares to give them instructions.
Addressing the Asma Jahangir Conference in Lahore, Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed said that he wanted to say something as the Chief Justice. All the judges are working hard day and night. Courts sometimes make wrong decisions, sometimes right, people take every decision according to their opinion.
The Chief Justice said that he was working for human rights, fundamental rights and democracy. They are not working under the pressure of institutions.
According to him, he has never listened to any institution. No one dared to tell them. They did not make decisions at the behest of anyone. The courts give justice to the people.
He went on to say that the courts were acting in accordance with the constitution. No one dared to stop the judiciary.
The Chief Justice said that in any one case, it should be stated on whose instructions the decision has been taken till date.
He said that a general statement should not be made about the judiciary. Don't spread chaos. Don't take people's trust from institutions. Pakistan is ruled by law. There is no human rule.
The Chief Justice further said that the judiciary would not accept any undemocratic system. According to him, in such a case, the judges of the judiciary will stop working. They have left like this before.
