When dozens of members were absent from Imran Khan Niazi's dinner and the coalition was in denial, the meeting was adjourned. Opposition should not trade conscience and vote in favor of the bill, Foreign Minister

Addressing the meeting, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Leader of the Opposition had expressed his views and we listened to him with great respect. I agree with him that today is a historic day, today this House is going to make such legislation by removing the flaws of the past that transparent electoral reforms are intended.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that we do not want to impose black law at all but we want to wash away the soot of the past. We do not intend to bulldoze the legislation at all. We have invited the opposition for consultation.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, "We did not impose a joint meeting. We had given a date on November 11, it was postponed." "They say we didn't have a numerical majority, so it was postponed. If we didn't have a numerical majority, why would we introduce this bill today," he said.

"There is a method of legislation, we have followed every method, the members had questions, we persuaded them with arguments and that is why the members are in the ranks of the government," he said.

He said that the gist of Shahbaz Sharif's speech was that there was unity in the government ranks. EVM is being brought to end the evil plans of the past. "I urge the opposition not to compromise their conscience and vote for this bill," he said. The Foreign Minister asked the Speaker not to adjourn the meeting.
