Turkey has reached the largest individual deal ever with the Kenyan Ministry of Defence regarding armored vehicles

Under the agreement, the Turkish company will deliver 4x4 armored vehicles to the Kenyan armed forces.


A total of 118 higher vehicles will be delivered to Kenya under the 91 91.4 million deal. The deal also includes the supply of spare parts and repair tools. The supply of these vehicles will start in 2022 and will be completed in 2023. It should be noted that the Haier is a tactical 4 × 4 armored vehicle which has been successfully used by the Turkish Army in various operations inside and outside the country. It has the ability to withstand the effects of explosives.

It was recently reported that the vehicle was purchased by another African country besides Kenya at a cost of 40 million Euros. The armored vehicle has a maximum speed of 110 km per hour and a range of 700 km, with a capacity to transport 9 soldiers, including the driver and commander. This armored vehicle has a remote control weapon station of Turkish company Elsan. In addition to a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun, one of the 40 mm automatic grenade launchers can be mounted.

Other features include satellite navigation, firing ports for soldiers inside the vehicle, air filtration and smoke grenade launchers.
